couple months ago on autotrader, there was an 2004 LS430 black on black ultra lxury with 51K miles for $34500. The only thing is that it was a lease vehilce, but then again, it's a Lexus. Lease cars tend to be treated like crap, but it really depends on the owner.

oh man ... i didnt know 05s are going for such low prices!
im now too scared to think whats the value of my car if i want to sell it...
anyways, good luck for that car. it will be a real steal if you can get it at that price.

For reference my dealer has two ULs, both white with cashmere.
One is an 03 at $32,000, is not CPO as it has 61K miles.
The other is an 04 at $49,000, is a CPO and has 31K miles.
I wouldn't mind having the 04 myself although I think the price is a bit too high.

Like I said in a thread on this subject about 3 months ago, the 3rd gen is going to take a BEATING in resale value as the 4th gen populates and puts a lot of 3rd gens on the market. We're seeing that happening now. The 3rd gen is, and will continue to be moreso, an incredible used car bargain. For the life of me I can't imagine anyone buying a new Chrysler 300 or Ford or GM car and paying in the $30K range for it instead of getting a 3rd gen LS.

You can actually pick up a 06 300c around 22-25k now a days.I am holding out though.I like the srt8 but its still a 300 no matter 425hp or not.I am leaning towars the audi a8l as we speak...

True. I was thinking about the '04-up LS, but I should have lowered my "$30K range" comment to "$20K range" as you can buy a good '01 LS in that range. I've rented the 300, the Charger, and the Magnum a few times and have > 4K miles of seat time in them (a couple of 1800 mile round trips in 300s, a 400+ mile trip in a Charger, and a hundred or two in the Magnum). I can say with high confidence that they aren't in the league with an LS in any regard, and I would suspect that they aren't in the Audi league either, though I've never driven that Audi.

The Audi's are nice cars.....but I thought people bought the LS for its outstanding relaiability and amount of features?
This was exactly the reason I bought the LS.
I rarely hear of too many original owners of the same Audi after 10 or 12 years. right?
