Smile 01 LS 430 has 258k miles

I bought it Oct 2001 and have put 230k miles. No problems whatsoever. Best car I've ever driven. Hope to get 300k miles out of it. Think I will make it? I get oil changed regularly and I'm about to have timing belt changed for third time.

Bought '04 with 55k in early 2009. Now it's 96k. Over the last 4+ years, replaced a passenger rear strut around 80k miles (non-air suspension), and the battery and 2 tires. Everything else works perfectly. Full synthetic oil changes @ 7,500 mile intervals.

Oh, and I've also been filling it with regular unleaded gasoline for 95% of the time with NO issues. Average 20-21 mpg overall.

I'm right behind you, I got my 04 a year ago with 65k miles, and i'm approaching 80k.
Good to hear!

Default My two LS430s

2001 LS430: Purchased August 2010 with 117K, now at 153K -- no issues at all. Such a great car, I just bought a second one on 4/1/13: a 2005 with 77K miles. Both are Sport Suspension / Nav / ML audio. Gotta love the LS!

Hope I can find a good deal as some of the others listed in here, any good sites to check out for sales on? Areas to pay extra attention to while looking over a car? Looking to buy one before my b day in July.

This would be my first Lexus

By putting on 43k/year... not too hard if you commute everyday and it's only car. My '95 civic i put on 200k in around 6 years. Not sure what that owner uses it for, maybe car service.

Default Owned my LS430 since 2005 (Is a 2004)

We bought our 2004 LS430 in 2005 with 60,000 miles on it. It is a 2004 model. We now have upwards of 150,000 miles on it. This master of a vehicle has never had a problem. We are on our 4th set of tires, put on new brakes and take it in for regular lubes. Just switched to synthetic oil. Almost never use mid grade gasoline always supreme.

The body is still as beautiful as ever. We have never garaged it because we don't have room in our garage and the paint is still in great shape. One thing we had to do was change out the front windshield because it somehow got cracked when it was valet parked (they paid for it). Since the new windshield went in our rain sensor for the windshield wipers doesn't work when it rains but mysteriously works when the windshield is hot from the sun. Go figure.

They probably put in cheap Chinese junk glass. I am currently trying to get my insurance to approve OEM glass for my 04 UL. They refuse. I have not been able to find a U.S. glass company that does not have all their glass now made in China. The difference in price is $320 for Chinese or $1700 for OEM. Go figure.

Mine used to do this too. There's a gel pad that goes bad they just replace. I think it was fairly cheap.

The other issue could be they didn't reset the actual sensor to the new windshield. In either scenario you should get it fixed and they should pay for it since you are missing functionality that previously worked.
