Colorado car since new: 2001 Base Purchased August 2012 (1 Owner) with 121K, move ahead 2 years 185K, it moves 100 miles per day. 1st owner, every milestone maintenance completed by Kuni Lexus of Denver per Lexus owner site. I DYI change the oil every 5K with whatever synthetic is on sale with Bosch oil filter, replaced brake pads and rotors, spark plugs, air filters, flushed transmission @ 130K, trans flush improved shifting to like new.
I have a foot, I have been know to use it from time to time, you could say I drive with spirt when needed or prompted. I have yet to have an issue where something has quit working other than the sub wolfer, in my defense AC/DC was playing, my fault, sent out for repair, like new. I have DYI restored the head lights a couple of times with Mother's, good product.
I do have some surface rust coming through on the passenger front door. Been to a couple of body shops, I tell them I just want the spot taken care of, I get the $3000 speech about feathering paint and the rest of the car, you can tell they really don’t want to do the job. Front bumper pretty pitted and small crack (like that when purchased) from interstate travels and some minor hail damage. How much money do you put into the body of a 2001 car that is only worth $7k to $9?
Body is a little rough for my taste, still looks great from a distance, continual complements. Chevy, Like A Rock my a$$, take a picture of this car and learn something, interior is close to perfect for a 2001.
Just put my second set of Michelin MXV4 on the other day, rotate every oil change. I’m due a timing belt change, probably will do myself. I am having a independent shop quote the job to include radiator (orginial Rad, just a matter of time before the plastic fails). Dealer quoted $1,900 plus, NOT.......
Average gas mileage for the past year plus 23.9 average speed 50 MPH using regular unleaded for the most part.. I have no issues driving this car across the country. Much would rather drive this than my wife's 04 RX330.
When it’s time to retire this one, which is a ways off, I will be in search of my next 430 Base….

2002 Black on black with just over 187,000 on it and still going strong!!!
The car looks like new inside and out. I Bought it about 3 years ago with 125,000 miles on it. I've owned brand new Cadillacs, Lincolns, etc. and this is by far the most realible and most comfortable car I've ever owned. I'm looking to get to 300,000 if I can. When this one goes I'll buy another 10 year old LS.

2001 that had 97K when I bought it five years ago. Now I have 235K.
Paint is absolutely perfect: Pearl
Done the big service twice.
Reupholstered driver seat as I got a small tear.
Replaced front struts, brakes, steering wheel telescoping and tilt motors.
Almost got 100K out of a set of Michelins.
I was thinking to buy another at 300K.....but I might still be driving this one.

2002 LS430. Third LS.
1st-LS400 1997 purchased in 2003. Computer started acting up. Traded for CPO.
2nd-LS430 2002 CPO Purchased in 2005. Best car I've ever owned. Never had any issues with it. Would have kept it forever but got rear ended at traffic light in 2010. Car was totalled. Car protected me well, even after being propelled 30 feet.
(Went looking for another 2002 LS and got mentally blindsided by a pristine Caddy. Had it for two years but didn't like it like I liked the LS.) Gave it to my ex.
3rd-LS430 2002 Purchased in 2012. 121k miles. Currently has 175k and going strong!

Got 178k on the clock. Just purchased a few weeks ago!
Going to be walking around puckered up and uptight for the next few years. Never owned a car like this, and the more I read about the systems on the car and the repair costs involved, the more I think I may need nerve medication to make it through. I don't know, ladies and gents, but maybe I should have done more research! Always have trusted my 99 tacoma, with almost 300k, so I guess we'll see. And I tend to agree so far about the Cadillac thing. Looked at many a Cts, but they don't hold a candle. #LOVINMYLEXUS.
