I have 313,000 on my 2004 and just decided to sell it. I bought it 7 years ago with 80k and have kept it in great shape over the years putting many road miles on it. I am replacing it with a 2013 with 63k on it. I am going to miss the dynamic cruise but hope that the 2013 will offer equal quiet/comfort/reliability as the 2004. https://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto...626053194.html

Great experience! Any major repairs at all? Did the tranny get any drain/fills or was it set it, and forget it?

Very nice! Let us know how much it ends up selling for if you don't mind sharing.
The paint has recently been professionally buffed to a glossy shine.
I'm curious if you had this done at the dealership or a private detail shop. Also, can you see any buffer swirls in the paint in direct sunlight? I brought my black '04 to the dealer for a full detail about 2 years ago in an attempt to minimize the 'micro scratches' that you can see when you're very close to the car in bright and direct light... the ones that look like spider webs. I had to send it back because the buffer swirls were so obvious in direct sunlight. When I got it back the second time, it still has some that are visible but a lot less conspicuous than it was at first. I've heard that black cars just aren't going to be 'perfect' after getting buffed... that you're going to see some swirls no matter what in direct light. Conversely I've also heard from other detailers that it can be done 100% 'perfectly' and that the dealer just did a quick/crappy job.
^They probably used a Rotary and a wool pad. Makes from quick removal of swirls and scratches but leaves its own swirls/holograms behind.
I did my GX460 earlier this year with a dual action orbital, it was full or scratches down the sides, swirls and RIDS(Random Isolated Deep Scratches). it might take longer depending on your pad selection or compound but usually the finish is free of holograms and swirls.

i did do one or two tranny services in it...one I think. It has always been smooth as butter, but with so many miles I thought that it was prudent. Everything else routine....oil change every 5k, brakes as needed, 90k service on schedule, I did replace rear scocks a few years back, new winshield due to a crack. Probably the best car that I have ever owned...though I am very happy so far with my “new” 2013 LS460.
My elderly neighbor sold me her 2002 LS430 For $600.
Sat in her garage for the majority of the past 7 years since we’ve moved to the neighborhood.
Currently has 212K miles on it with all service records. Looking to upgrade some minor things around the car.
Whoa!!!! Congratulations! Unless the car is completely beaten-up, I think you got a steal here. You can probably sold the car by the pounds and still get your money back.
ouch I will be turning 107k at some point, keeps climbing but I think lots and lots of life knock on wood. Please no emissions problems as we have testing here in PA.
Yeah, $600, what a steal. Drive it 6 mos. and it's paid for itself and the rest is gravy! Even my first car cost more than that by $100 when I was 18! lol
