Default Well my extended warranty just paid for itself

The passenger side mirror motor is going bad.

1100 bucks to replace the whole mirror.

another 240 bucks to have the center console re=adjusted so it latches properly (I was going to do this myself but my wife said "WE PAID FOR A WARRANTY, LET THEM DO IT) I was suprised that an adjustment was covered under warranty.

Those mirrors are selling for $149 and under on ebay in just about every color and year for the LS430. It's real easy to replace; 7 screws/bolts hold on the door panel, then it's easy access for the mirror.

No Kidding, I couldn't believe when he told me how much the mirrors are if I didn't have a warranty.

Yah, I've been pretty unimpressed at the ridiculous costs associated with the car. They're simply inflated to feed the greed machine, not support a dedicated customer base

$1100 seems a bit much. I have recently had some bodywork done. The mirror was replaced and as per the insurance estimate, the mirror cost a little over $700. $400 for installation? Something does not sound right. I think that dealership is inflating cost to squeeze the warranty company (not the first time and sure will not be the last time that has happened).

No question at all that most Lexus dealerships do this (overcharge). It's quite sad.
