Picked up my 01 ultra.... and had a question.

When looking at the front of the car... i look at the lower front passenger side and see a nice cutout there.. i guess for the laser cruise. is it supposed to be like cut out or might i have a piece missing. seems the horizontial grill "ribs" stop where this box is.... Makes sense it would interfere with this device but looks kind of crappy..

Congrats on getting the ride. Yes the cut out looks weird, but thats the way it is suppose to look. Lexus refine the look for 04-05.

Yes, it does look kind of weird, and more noticeable on white cars... but it does its job well.

You're better off getting a new front bumper all together. Ltuned has a ton of options to view and help you decide on the look and price point that would suit your needs.

Contact Carson Toyota / L-Tuned for the Job Design group buy, they have kits that accommodate sensors. It's a little pricey but why spend the money only to have a stock look, if you're gonna spend the dough you might as well make it your own custom look IMHO.

How much time do you spend under the front bumper of your car?

How many people at a view height of 5' with a closing speed of 30+ mph are going to wave you down to say "hey, the cutout for your hella cool laser guided cruise control is hella ugly!"

Umm TurboTodd.... i dont care about others.. I come out of my house and my eyes immediately are drawn to the nice cutout in the front bumper... Maybe I should back in driveway lol.... Point being it annoys me.... car has such a nice look to it except for the jackass who said hey lets cutout part of the bumper to get this part in there... like they couldnt figure a better way?

Hey man the radar cruise is such a cool feature I'd certainly trade the cutout to have it in my car.

Imagine us poor slobs who have to manually use the cruise control!
