Guys,
I'm currently living in Queens and plan to move into Manhattan within the next 1-2 months.
Therefore, I do not need a car... since I bought it in 2005, the car only has 12,000 miles. I am paying too much for its depreciation and insurance, and not enjoying it enough.
Anyways, I want to ask where I can get the best prices for this car.
I went to the dealership, and they dont seem interested in buying my car, especially when I am not buying another car. I think they prefer to buy cars off-lease cars from auction.
So, other than posting on autotrader and cars.com for private parties sales, does anyone else have a good idea?
I am not in a rush to sell immediately, as I have 1+ month before moving into the city!
Now, the biggest pain would be to look for good apartments in the city!

Several options are available. Some have more "hassle factor" than others and some offer a higher upside potential:
CarMax: They normally pay a fair price and it's quick and easy
Ebay: You'll probably get a little more - but the hassle factor mentioned above can be tremendous, considering you'll have to meet up with the buyer and worry about their funds, transportation, etc.
Forum Sale: You'll normally get a serious buyer, but they will probably be looking for a "deal".
You already mentioned AutoTrader and Cars.com, which are both good options as well.
Good Luck with your sale. I'm sure you'll miss your LS on those nice weekends when you want to get out of the city - but I understand how you weighed your options....
