Was looking for an ultra at the time but, could not even get near one with 100K for under $32K

In Jan of '05 I bought a 50,820 mile CPO 2001 LS430 w/Nav/Levinson for $30,890 (plus they gave me $2,000 for a 1993 rusting Honda Accord). This was in Chicagoland area. I felt that I got a good deal. It had been there a while and I negotiated the car price pretty aggressively. Then I wouldn't buy it unless they gave me the $2k for the trade in. I walked next door for lunch and let them decide. When I got back, the deal was done. The 3.9% APR financing from Lexus Financial was a bonus.

2001 LS430 with 16" chrome rims, Crystal White, 43,000 miles from a Texas Car Dealer called Mike Dobbs Motor Trends. Mike is a very good guy. Paid $22,900 + $1,595 to ship to Hawaii.
The only problem I had was that the transporter screwed up the car with some roof dents, glass scratches and oil splatters. The 3 lower quarter panels were worn down by tie down straps. My Geico insurance company came to the rescue and took care of the repairs and billed the Transport company direct. Sierra Transport Inc was the guys who transported my car. I would never use them or recommend them to my worst enemies as they did not even let me know about my car damages. I had to find out when I picked it up.
It is all nice and cherry now that it came out of a quality body shop. Very happy with my purchase of a low mileage car.

my grandfather had a 01 ls430 , a 05 ls430, and a Tundra...he's about to get the new 460L...so I was glad to take the 01 off his hands 
btw, dont think "spoiled" here by all means...i could buy any lexus I want on my own.
Now its tough to decide what I want to drive day-to-day. I love my 4Runner and I've put a lot of thought and work into making it look great and distinguishable from others. But maaaaaan, this LS430 is SO smooth...and on the interstate its like driving my living room
