Default Steering wheel vibration

I am in San Diego, CA and have an 2004 Ultra with 40,000 miles. I have had all four struts replaced under warranty and just put on brand new Michelin MXV tires, 17 inch and also an alignment. When I drive at highway speeds I have a constant vibration in my steering wheel. I feel every bump on the road. It seems to drive the same or worse than my wife's toyota sienna minivan. All the reviews that I have ever read talk about how quiet and smooth and disconnected this car is from the road. Well my car is too connected and I would love to be disconnected. It rides quiet but the car just vibrates. The head mechanic at my dealer has taken it for a drive and he claimed that one of the tires was out of balance, which the rebalanced but it still does not seem to be perfect.
Any ideas.
Also for those that are in San Diego, which dealer do you prefer for service?
Thanks

I would take the car where they have a Road Force balancing machine. I think you have a tire balancing issue. The Road Force mahcine will also tell if you have a bad tire. If it's not a tire problem, you have a bad wheel on the car. The Road Force machine will tell if it's a wheel or tire problem.

Cool Best of luck....

Hi tomsls,
I have a 2003 LS430 ultra,
I have goodyear assurance tires from dealer. My car rides like my old 1992 camry. Alignment, roadforce and all done still pulls to the right and the ride SUCKS. I can't wait for the title to trade for anything else. ( got the car for $41000 3/20/07 ) ( thanks for listening to my rant )

I have an '04 that is approaching the end of warranty. Is this a common issue? How do I know if I need struts?
