Default Happy new '01 LS430 owner checking in...

Howdy all. I've been lurking here for a few months, reading, learning from all of you and comparison shopping for a 430 on the Internet.

Last week I found the car I was looking for on Craigslist Los Angeles and snapped it up. Now that I'm a 430 owner I thought I'd introduce myself--or at least the car.

It's an '01 430 with 50,300 miles on it. Original, elderly owner, nonsmoker, dealer serviced, all records. It's seafoam green with a gray-ish interior. The paint and leather are flawless. Tires are near new. It looks and drives like a creampuff. I paid $21,000, fully detailed, and am very happy. It drives and rides like no car I've had before.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions as I get further into the car, and I thank you in advance for your advice....and patience (I'm not much of a car guy).

That is a great buy. Anything new in that price range is pretty much junk. Really. Look what a great quality car you got. Congrats!

I'm sure he'll "less than three" his Lexus.
I think he'll LOVE it personally

i can never seem to let go of my 01 LS. had it for 4 years already... its costing me 1/4 of my paycheck for monthly payments... but the sacrifice is well worth it. This car has been through hell.. it's my daily driver and still chugging along.

It's hard to let go of this car isn't it? I am trying to sell mine for a while now. It's a boring car but otherwise very reliable (never broke down on me). I hope to get mine for $23K at 44K miles with 2 sets of wheels. MB has lots more troubles but I am buying a CL55 to match with the other two cars I have. I will go back to Lexus in a couple years (my father and my sister both still own Lexus). Hopefully by then, they would make a more sporty LS model.
