Yeah, that was the button. Oh well, I finally let them install the replacement sunglass holder 
Apparently, my time was up, and I was getting a Lexus link error every time I started the car.
I do miss the voice recorder, though.

on my 01, it has a glasses holder, with the link buttons on cover.
The PO had paid to have to link removed - saw that on Lexus service history printout.
Did someone say the replacement glass holder shouldn't have any link buttons? (not a big deal)
