Nav Override (HOW-TO VIDEO)
#17
FYI, be careful. On my 2001 LS, instead of Override, I pressed a different button to see what happens and ended up looking at a nice map of me in Washington DC (unfortunately I was in Chicago). Not quite sure what I did, but I won't do it again. After turning the car off and back on, my navigation location was off by 1/8 of a mile. I'm now hoping that when I drive home tonight, I'm back in the correct time zone.

I have a 2004 LS in which I have installed the latest nav dvd.
I think I read somewhere that the latest dvd eliminated the nav override.
After viewing this (very nice) video I tried it today and it does not work for me.
Can anyone confirm that it has been removed or if there a new override

Yes, the new version makes it so you cannot use the override feature. I've been working on an hybrid disk to take the previous "working" map disk and putting the updated (new dvd) maps on it. Still got some kinks to workout but should be do-able, I think its my dvd burner acting weird.

Thanks again for the instructional video.

I think I found another method on the 2002 LS430UL.
Hit menu. Then hit the DVD button on the upper right.
Then do the top left, bottom left, top left, bottom left, bottom right.
The screen with the override choice will pop up.
Hold the override button until it beeps.
Hit back, then you're all set.

I found out you can do the override feature while you drive... this is really awesome, so that i can activate it only when i need it, as i drive. Are you guys able to do the same???
