impresssion of LS430/Ultra Luxury Version
Hi all,
Just got back from helping father-in-law get a CPO 2003 LS430 with ULTRA LUXURY PACKAGE...it only had 26k miles, and man...it is soooo nice. Suede roof, massager and reclining back seat, super soft smooth leather in the entire car(vs. cheap plastic in many BMW and MBs), adjustable suspension, etc...
Overall, it is more of a comfortable cruiser vs. my 2001 E55 and obviously the direct comparison would be an S-class. When I compare it to the S500, however, I think it would be a very difficult to pass on the Ultra Luxury. My biggest complaint about the S-class is that other than the Designo or the S600 series, the interior is very sub-par for the money/status. The S600's are GREAT deals, but I would be too scared to buy without a long-term warranty from MB. From I hear, most of the after-market warranty have too many exclusions for the V12 twin-turbo.
Just food for thoughts...and Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.
Sorry for digressing...my main point today is that driving the LS430 today was a major upside surprise.

Pole Position
had an S500 and was a cash flow cow,, it really like the shop,, if it did not need fixed all the time it would have been a nice car,, very good on the road,,
doubt I'll ever be behind a Beemer or Benze windshield again,,
