Default Are 20x10 too big

Looking to purchase some used Chrome Lowenharts LDR with 20x8.5 (+44 5H) fronts and 20x10 (+43 5H) rears. Are they too big? Callled Dazzmotorsports and they said as long as it has the "H" (high face), it would fit. I thought I read somewhere that the max for the rear was 20x9.5 ? Anyone?

PS: This was on a 06 GS430

They're not too wide. Whoever said 9.5 is the widest you could go with probably went with a conservative setup.

uhh you could do a 20x11 if it was the right offset

20x10 +43 is fine. a friend had 19x10 +26 and had some room to go till the edge of the fender

i have 20x9's with 245/35/20's in the front and 20x10's with 275/30/20's in the rear of my 03 ls430 and i have no problems with fitment. actually i think i could've gone with 20x10.5's.
a friend of mine that works at lexus said that if you are worrying about your alignment lexus sells different length's of the lower rear control arms so that your camber isn't that way off when you do your alignment on the car. i think that they make a 4mm longer one.

eyft23, those are the same exact tire size that will be on the wheels. Nitto 555.
The rims are suppose to have 4" rear lip and 2.5" in the front. Am scheduled to see them Sunday afternoon. Keeping my fingers cross they will fit without rubbing or the need to roll my fender.

No worry, as long as the fronts clear your brake calipers you will be fine. No need to roll/cut fenders at all with said offset...

Has anyone here ever grinded down thier calipers to allow rims to fit easily ive been reading up on it and it seems like a decent idea however i do not want to comprimise the braking system anyone have any thoughts?

I would not compromise my OEM calipers for AFTERMARKET WHEELS, but that's just me.
The Brembo calipers LOOK smaller than OEM(shorter, slimmer but longer), but I think they should be about same widths(fat) as OEM. Just my guess...
The newest Brembo FORGED(1 piece) calipers are for sure smaller though...They are OEM Porsches' , so I don'y know if they have other applications for Japenese cars...

I watched in horror as the techs at the wheel shop were grinding the calipers of a new s-class to make some wheels fit. My first question was why doesn't the guy order wheels that fit? Everyone got upset with me. The guy wanted wheels that day, they made a sale....a rather expensive one and didn't want me interjecting common sense into the situation. So I shut up and watched in horror. I just know there will be some eventual affect from that....just has to be. One thing I wouldn't fool around with is my brakes. THEY STOP THE CAR!
