technically...yes....i could wire them in series and run both at the same time...wiring them in parallel would be too low ohms for the amp

but both of them in series would wouldnt sound as good as the one in the box/trunk by itself getting the full power...so I do either or, but not both...i'm also not sure how it would sound with bass coming from two different speakers at two different angles (acoustics)...might have some cancelling out goin on...i'll try it today and see how it sounds

The ratteling turned out to be a loose cabin air filter cap that was loose the re insulated it and it sounds fine now

I wouldn't try it. It probably could push it but not sound very good. Plus you run the risk of blowing the factory amp and that runs around $1000 to replace.

I am about to get a seperate sub (8" or 10") installed in the stock hole and run a seperate amp to it. That way I don't have to worry about the factory amp blowing and I will get a lot more bass.
