What are the specs on that wheel/tire combo? I'm looking for a pair of wheels at the moment and want a look similar to that.
Any rubbing is clearance issues with those?
They are 19x8.5 fronts and 19x10 rear ( cant remember the offset, these came with the car when i imported it from Japan ) the tires are 245/40/19 fronts and 275/35/19 rears, i did get the rear fenders rolled, which took 6 hours BTW lol i dont rub anymore in the rears and the fronts are fine even at full lock

Thanks for the info, am trying to hunt down a set of carlsson 1/6 evos in those sizes at the moment and thinking of throwing on some pilot supersports in those sizes too. The wheels that I'm looking that are +35 F and +40 R so should fit fine. (fingers crossed)
The wheels that I'm finding with the correct drilling pattern are all in Japan and are either beat into oblivion or are in the wrong size.
I haven't gotten a chance to put a pic of it up so here's my new to me '01 UL. 75k miles. A little rough on the outside, but everything inside is super clean and mechanically sound. Planning on coilovers, new wheels, and the OEM mudguards given I can find a set that fits.
Also another quick question, but do the OE mud guards from the facelifted 430's fit the pre facelift cars? I know they have different body panels and rear bumpers but are the areas where they're mounted the same? Mud guards for the newer 430 are pretty easy to come across but I can't find a single set for the 01
I picked up my first Lexus back in January. It was a 2004 LS430 Modern Luxury. It had 188k miles on it, and was pretty clean. I daily drive 100 miles or so, and was ready for something comfortable to drive. I fell in love with these cars, back in 2005. I had the opportunity to drive one during a Ride and Drive I participated in for GM. The Lexus outshined all the other luxury cars at the event, in my opinion. I had intended to buy an LS400, but noticed the LS430 were priced very reasonably. I put 10,000 miles on the car since, and it was very dependable. Then, a few weeks ago, the car was totaled in an accident.
So, since I love these cars so much, I was on the hunt for another. After looking at a few 'not so cared for' examples, I located a 2005 with the exact same features as my 2004. It has 117k miles, and is in great condition.
I had planned a mild drop and some wheels for the 2004. The week prior to the accident, I had placed the order for my wheels. I went with 19x8.5 TSW Bristol with -30 offset, paired with 245/40-19 Toyo tires. They arrived two days after the car was totaled, so I stored them in the garage until I brought home the 2005.
And today I had the car detailed and ceramic coated.
My dream wheel would be the OEM 18" in 19 or 20, and the tsw Bristol was more or less the closest I could find to that theme.
I was very close to getting them but went another direction was my Infiniti wheels but finally get to see what they might have looked like!
Sorry to hear about the wreck, hope nobody was hurt, and congratulations on the replacement!
@maltese nice ride man, hope no one was hurt in that accident, and good to hear you got right back into another LS. Hope this one lasts you for awhile.
I'm also looking to slightly drop my car. Are you on coils or springs? How much of a drop is it? And did you find a big difference in ride quality between a stock 45 profile tires and a 245 40 19?

I agree. A clean 5 spoke design looks great on this car. I couldn't find another photo of an LS430 on the Bristol wheel, so I took a chance on it. I think it will look great once the car is lowered a bit.

Thanks for the kind words. 👍
The ride quality is still nice with the new wheels and tires. I haven't changed the springs yet, still stock. I tried to order the DF210 coils from three different suppliers, but all three orders were cancelled. Now I am thinking of RSR springs.
It's a long story, but I thought I was going to be getting a 2nd Gen GS400, but once I was given the VIN to do some history investigation on it, and when I went to see it today, it ended up being a very clean 2001 LS430! My friend (she's the current owner) is letting me drive it around all day today and check it out as well as review ALL of the records on this car since early 2004 when it had less than 10k miles on it. It currently has 197k miles on it. The timing belt, valve cover gaskets, trans pan gasket have been replaced as well as new tires, all within the past 1 to 3 years. The timing belt was done at 165k miles 3 years ago, so I should be good for a little while.
Needless to say, I am beyond thrilled to get this car. I just need to get that 370Z of mine sold.
Looks great Chops! Super clean, just polish up those headlights and it'll look like a new car
Thank you Dave! It's a really nice car. I've been driving it around a bit off and on today, and I have zero complaints with it. It's also been kind of nice that it's been raining today as well. If there were any interior or trunk leaks, I would have seen them, and there's aren't any. The only issue is the driver's side mirror. It doesn't fold in and out anymore, but you can hear the motor in there clicking away for about the first 10 seconds after the car is started. So I'm thinking that's just a cable or something that snapped or came lose.
The headlights, yes I will be polishing them up. I started to look into updating them to the 2004+ version until I realized that they are a totally different shape. Oh well.
