I think you ought to keep in mind that you have a LS430 with the UL package that includes the laminated glass option. This means you'll have to really make the exhaust considerably louder to hear it from the driver's seat. Keep in mind that the car is also heavily insulated to keep you in complete silence. I personally feel that would be counter productive. Now if you'd like to see what type of performance gains you'd get from an intake and exhaust upgrade I can understand. If a louder exhaust note is what you are after you may consider removing the silencers and replacing them with a straight pipe or just switching out the mufflers to a more free flowing type. The complete exhaust system costs about $1,500 which I feel is over priced considering what else you could get for that kind of money. Just my $.02

Hello, I think if you want 2 do what U say, get rid of the car and buy some car like the " 2 fast 2 furious " machines and play. LS cars are for quietness

I've recently been looking to get a LS430 and the exhaust doesn't seem to match the car right. The tailpipes seem tiny in comparison to the way the whole car looks. I would do an exhaust and leave the intake alone. Maybe replace the air filter with a high flow to get a little more air into the engine but you won't see any gains in performance. An intake will not yield any performance either but it will make it sound louder. If you replace the exhaust you might see a little increase in performance. The exhaust note should be pretty nice depending on what you get.

I replaced the Air filter with a K&N i also removed the secondary air filter which is on the top part of the air box. I have an 06 UL so yours might be a little diffrent. Other than that im going to repalce the scilencers with a straight pipe and im looking for diffrent mufflers and tips however i can't find one with the right pitch that i am looking for. Hardly anyone has aproved of what i have done with my car so far. But you have to worry about what makes you happy and let the critics critisize........
