Hi, I have an LS430 in a cold climate and this is going to be my first winter with it, so boosting is sometimes necessary and with only one Lexus dealer in a city of close to a million, I don't plan on having the dealer boost it if it's dead (like some people have suggested on this forum).

In any case, my personal experience at using a trickle charger this weekend and the manual itself reveal ONE good grounding spot under the hood - it's that little metal bracket thingy right behind the plastic engine cover. Works fine with the tiny clamps on my trickle charger, but the clamps on my "portable jumper" don't fit, so another location is needed.

Any suggestions folks?
