Hi everyone,

My name is Julian and I am new to this forum so I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I have enjoyed reading all the great posts. I just purchased a 2006 LS 430 this week and I am trying to figure out how to use all the options.

This is probably a terrible question, but I can't figure out the seat settings. Everytime I get in the car and turn the key, the seat moves back to some very strange setting all the way back, and the steering wheel column goes up. I already set my seat to #1 on the door, and I have to push it every time to make it go all the way back to my settings. Is there any way the car can just automatically remember my settings so I dont have to push the button and wait 30 secs for the seat to move back every time?

Thanks!

Hi there Julian and welcome to Club Lexus. Congratulations on your LS430 purchase!

I'd try to answer your question but I really don't know the answer. Just give your post a little time and I'm sure some of the more knowledgeable members will be able to give you some input

Hi Julian and welcome to the forum. If I am to take a guess it would be that your key is programmed to personal setting #2 and so each time you unlock the door it positions itself to the setting of the #2 setting. Try setting #2 or using the other master key if it was supplied. Again this is a guess as I once had a Lincoln Continental with a similar feature.

JJ, if no one is using the #2 setting, try saving it with the same parameters as your #1 you've previously memorized

Oh - and welcome to CL
