Door handle painted insert question
Hey guys unfortunately someone must have opened their door into my car and chipped off a small piece of paint from the rear door handle. Upon slightly opening the handle I can see that the crystal white insert is not the structural part of the handle and i KNOW THAT YOU CAN BUY IT COLOR CODED. how do you remove and reinstall this handle insert. The body shop told me 65 for the part but that it was 75 per hour for labor. I think this is way too easy of a job to pay hundreds in labor. If you all have any suggestions please steer me in the right direction.
Thanks!!

If you are referring to the piece of plastic around towards the rear of the handle (the same piece that has the key hole in the front handle) then it just pops out and costs about $12 at the dealer and installs in 2 seconds. Mine was missing and it took 1 day for the dealer to get it in. If it is the front part I would imagine it would be a similar operation and maybe twice the price.
