are tires covered under warranty?
I've had my car for about a month now, and just noticed a one inch slit on the sidewall of my front drivers side tire. The car is a 2004 and a cpo car bought from a local dealer. Two weeks ago I had them replace the driver's side rear wheel because of a lot of curb wear. I don't think they touched the front tire, so I assume the slit was there since they put on the tires less than a thousand miles or so. Do you think it will be covered under the cpo warranty, or tire manufacturer's warranty or am sol? THese are the 18" low profile tauranza's, and I know they are expensive.
thanks

Tires are covered by thier maker, but on new cars only I believe.
I wouldn't hold my breath on the dealer replacing them.
However, you can TRY with the tire's manufacturer.
Not saying you caused this damage, but as you can see in this situation, its too easy for them to say your liable.

Got my new tire today from Santa Monica Lexus. Price was $279. and they only charged $25. to mount. I was happy. Jim Falk in Beverly Hills didn't have the tire in stock and wanted $100 more for the whole thing. What's more the service advisor never even returned my call. gee! Santa Monica got me in without an appointment, and got it all done within an hour and a half. Yea!
