Bank 1 - which side is it?
Is bank 1 on LS430 the left side or right side (US spec car)? I need to order the O2 sensor for P0135 code but not sure if it is left or right one. TIA.

Thanks junior. lol
As for sonyman statement, I am afraid it might not be true. I have changed the O2 sensor last year on my Mercedes SL500 and bank 1 is on the passenger side.

Bank 1 = Left side of car.
Bank 2 = Right side of car.
The location of the driver is irrelevant to the engine.
Some things in the engine bay change sides depending on where the driver sits, mostly due to the different location of the steering column and brake master cylinder.
My battery sits on the left side of the engine bay (UK-right hand drive) because there is no room on the right due to the brake master cylinder and servo.
Right hand drive layout (Japan, UK, etc.)
Left hand drive layout (USA, EU, etc.)
