04 LS430 Climate Control in Winter
Hi, I've got a 2004 LS430, and it's finally starting to get really cold around here. Should I leave my A/C setting on in winter or turn it off? Obviously, I don't need cold air, but does the A/C setting on the LS430 also control heat?

I guess my last message wasn't that clear.
When I am in my car and it's cold outside (-10 C) and the heat is on, I still have coldish air coming out of the dash vents. The air coming out of the heat vents is definitely hot, but I can't explain the cold air coming out of the vents.
Is this a question I should be asking my dealer?

There shouldn't be any correlation between the A/C setting and the cool air coming out of your vents.
I just leave my Climate Control on Auto, and let the car do the thinking. If you get fog on the front window, and push the Front Window Defrost button, it will shoot A/C'd air to clear it (which is dry air) - but that's only when the outside temp is around 0c.
I don't understand the cool air coming out of the vents - when it's -10c, it should be blasting you with hot air - and the only vents that have air coming out of them are the ones at the sides - which should be pumping out hot air as well - and should be pointed at the side windows to keep them defrosted.
There shouldn't be any air coming out of the middle vents - so if there is, just close them off.
