I got to speak to a guy who runs and drives a high end car service in my building. He drives a 2003 LS430 Ultra with 90k miles, and has 4 other 430's, not Ultra.
I have seen him before, but today I went up to him and had a talk.
This man is a die hard Lexus fan and says that he never ever had a problem with any of his LS430s. I was more interested in his Ultra and his air suspension. He was vry happy and proud to say that he has never had a problem with it, EVER. The only thing he did was regular oil changes, and a Timing belt ob he did at 88k. He got the car brand new, so he knows this one very well.
I was glad to hear this. NYC roads are the worst, loads of traffic, bad roads. And if this Ultra didnt have any problems in its 90k miles, its a good sign that the car is well built.
I am only stressing Ultra's air suspension.
Just though you would like to know this.

That's good to hear; however to play devil's advocate my friend's AS from his 2001 UL failed at ~85k miles. The passenger side was completely inactive and non-height adjustable, he ended up getting the Teins. Additionally, my '98 A/S failed at 100k, we both live in the surbs of DC so the roads aren't too rough but it just goes to show how there are two sides to every story.
