ok as most of you know i converted my 01 ls430 to look like an 04+ .. the question i was wondering is there any way i can get an uncut smart key and use it for my ls ... i know the key has a chip inside .but if i was to set the computer to reconise the key would it work ?? does any one here know if its possible??

There is no keyhole for any mechanical keys in the ignition. Do you plan on changing the ignition as well?

yes i know the newer ls dont have a key in the ignition .. but the new key still has a key in the remote.... i would be using that to start my engine..

Actually, it uses a different frequency, so that should give you an idea that it wont work.
