Hey ladies and gents!!!
I am now the happy owner of a silver on black LS430 UL with 85,000 miles. Wow, what a car this thing is. I loved it on the test drive but once you get behind the wheel it is hard to get out. I have put over 200km on since 9pm last night!!
Have you heard of any problems with pitting and air retention issues with the chrome wheels? I was getting winter tires put on and he mentioned that the rims look great from the outside but inside the bead there is a lot of pitting and he warned me about the potential to losing tire pressure on a regular basis.
This is my first real dream car and I am going to be on here gleaning as much info from you guys as possible to make this a fun ownership experience!!!

Congrats on the LS430UL. That's a really nice car. I don't have any input on the pitting question, since we don't get that kind of weather here in Cali. I was thinking of an LS for myself this year, but I just couldn't let my first genny GS300 go. Still nice and smooth after all these years.

About the rim thing, I would go to another mechanic and have them look over it also. Sometimes places say stuff like, "Well, you have an above average amount of curb rash, so we recommend buying these brand new rims!" They are a business and they are trying to make money. It might be an issue after about 100k miles, but still have it looked over by two sources before buying new rims.
