Kosmo....I would say this LS is worth more to you than it's worth....keep it and enjoy it. If you do need to sell...I wouldn't trade it. A little effort on your part will reward you with 3-5k over trade. At the minimum...clean it up and slap a "for sale" sign in the window. That's probably all it will take. You could run an add in the paper, auto trader...etc.

Don't settle....Rallye Lexus in Glen Cove is selling a 01 for $22900 and it is not a UL, plus it has over 70k. Yes, I know the "preowned" (used) car dealers can get a little more by stating there cars are certified (this one is not....too many miles) and they back it with a warranty, some you pay for, some given by the state. But if your UL is in truly indeed in mint condition and the miles are that low, wait for it. Especially if you have the maintenance records. Someone will come along willing to pay at least 18k or 19k or might even go as high 20k (which is a stretch. A friend of mine is a use car dealer and he told me at the auction, 01's are going for 17k-19k all depending on condition and options. And those cars are in the 100,000 mile range). Those dealers will take that car and turn it around for real good PROFIT!!!!!!

16k for trade-in sounds fair.... you will never get good or excellent trade-in price for a car w/ 70k+ miles...
Keep in mind that the dealer is ASKING 22,900, they will never get that price! they will sell it for probably 18k or 19k... plus most people don't even want Ultra, they are afraid all those extra options will break

Sold my '01 LS Ultra
I sold my 2001 LS430 Ultra (Pearl White) a few weeks ago. I found an SC430 that I wanted to trade on and he was going to give me $16k for my car and sell the SC430 at Trade-in cost. I was pretty shocked too when he said $16k for a mint condition with 79k miles. I listed it on the web and had several people offer me $20k. I found a buyer and sold it for $21,000 in less than 2 weeks.
