Anybody else have trouble with the console box latches? (Lexus calls it the "rear console box" but it is between the driver and FS passenger.) There is a pull-up latch and a push-bar latch. Supposedly, the pull-up latch lets you both raise the lid and slide the tray back at the same time, and the push-bar latch lets you raise the lid without automatically sliding the tray back.

Neither of my cars' latches consistently work correctly. One car absolutely will NOT let you open the box with the push-bar latch; the other car's latches work whichever way they feel like it at the time.

Ours has never worked correctly either and ours never seemed to close tight. Upon further investigation at the stealership, we actually need to replace some parts. Parts are like $30...but labor is like 2 hours. Needless to say so far we have lived with it. I am getting close to repairing it because it is so aggravating.

same here. i just live with it. sucks cuz i reach in there on a daily basis. Need to get my ipod mounted somewhere else so i can leave it closed.

I had an issue with my console not closing properly. They replaced the entire thing, even the leather cover. New leather console is always a win. (under warranty)
