by that math I went with coilovers, it ended up being just a few hundred more and then I had the comfort that I could fine tune height for any reason (new wheels, etc)

just factor in that if you go with springs you should get new shocks/struts at the same time, which makes the total much closer to coilovers.

Espiler coils and KYB struts on my first Lexus were about $700 10 years ago. BC adjustable coilovers for my next car 5 years ago were, and still are, $1000. Being able to fine tune the height and ride with the coilovers is well worth the cost difference.
