Doesn't the manual tell you how to do that? The lights seem to be adjusted slightly to the right (in the U.S.) to avoid blinding oncoming cars. On my LS430 2006 the headlight lenses seem to be different on the left and on the right. Less glare to the left on left headlight, more light on the right side of the right headlight.

Is your AFS light flashing? Do you see any difference if you turn off AFS?

I had a similar problem lately but my lights were shinning too low.. It ended up being the rear height leveling sensor that cost me $400 to have replaced..

but here is the how to adjust headlight procedure..

Im not sure why he neglected to mention the year.

As mentioned earlier, lights in the US and pretty much anywhere with left hard drive are aimed a bit to the right to avoid glare issues with oncoming drivers.

Your headlight aiming is normal.
Those are called cutoff lines.
On LHD car, they are like that to avoid blinding oncoming traffics.
They are opposite on RHD car (\\)

Normal cutoff lines on LHD car:

I have the same issue with my headlights! I had both assemblies changed and ever since then I have noticed the same / / issue. I thought I was crazy. The bodyshop (Lexus certified) told me they are okay, its normal. I understand about the "cutoff" but it just don't make sense? The cut off being set at an angle versus flat should not & does not affect oncoming traffic. The lights being cut at a sharp 30-45 degree angle leads me to believe what controls this should be able to be adjusted. Anyone out there have any ideas?

This is the beam pattern for US (LHD) lights.

They design it this way so you will have more useful light down the road without interfering with oncoming traffic.

Yes, I understand on the spread of the beam over the road. That is not the issue. When you park against a wall or against anything flat, like a truck or van, you can clearly see the beam at a angle. And if it is oncoming traffic the reason for the angle, than why does 04-06 LS beams cut off straight across. Also the RX, GS, and ES as well? Something just does not seem correct?
