Interesting as I was imaging today how my black car will look with the window trim (now in chrome) would look painted black.

I was planning to do this mod myself but I don't have the ***** to open up my headlamp assemblies. Personally (from the pic) I think it looks hot and it matches the black grill and mirrors.

Opening LS headlights is VERY easy compared to other Lexus headlights. Make sure you take out all the bulbs, screws holding lens in pace, and ruber covers. Bake in the oven for 13min @ 250F. Pry open with a strong putty knife or screw driver. The glue / sealant all stays together in a strip and is VERY clean to deal with. Go for it. Just dont swap in Q projectors like the above car did.

+1, window rain/wind guard unnessary. and too many "vents". Keeping either the top or the bottom would of been nice but double stacked is too much. Nice drop though

Thats actually a downgrade, the LS headlights are known for their amazing wide output and the projector swapped in this set of headlights are from a Q45, certainly the person wanted the bling factor rather than output.

Any how if anyone wants to repaint the bezel black then know this that you wont be able to use the factory glue once you open the headlights. Factory glue is semi solid and you would need to lay down a fresh layer of adhesive silicone to seal the headlights back together.

I was gonna do it but my body guy said i should'nt cause it could lead to moisture getting in and fogging up the lens....i just think he did'nt want to do it but he does excellent work so i gave up on the idea.

What kit is this? I like the sides, kind of like Wald kit for new LS460!
