Default Paging 04+ datasystem users

Ready to install my datasystem this weekend and looking through the setup. I thought I had to run a speed sensor behind the glove box but the harness is just a passthrough then to the controller. Is that all I need to do? If it is, I should be able to do it in minutes. Can anyone confirm no glove box removal for 04+ up installation. I thought I had read up that you have to string a single wire across to the other side.

Thanks.

you need to remove the glove box to reach the ecu on the pass. side.
I just did mine.
Extend the wire and run through the dash board, you probably wanna some help from another end, makes a lot easier.

So it is not plug and play for the 04'+ cars?

Is it because the USDM cars are different then the JDM cars?

Where do you connect that wire you extend?

it is pretty easy to do it once you are at it.
I think the difference is because of we have LHD cars.

on the controller harness, There is once plug is little longer than the rest, extend that one about 4 feets, just splice the wires, I used telephone line.

the plug goes to the ecu behind the glove box, just plug it in. So it is still plug and play but just twice the amount of time than 01-03.

The hardest part is to take out the wood panel ( it is plastic!! not real wood!, my SC has real wood! ) without scratching it. That took me about 15 mins.
