I'm torn between buying out my '05 LS430 (34,000 mi.) which I'm delighted with (bluetooth and voice commands notwithstanding) or buying a new ES350. I can buy my LS for $33.5K and the ES loaded for about $39K. If it were your decision, what would you do?

If you just want a new car, simply tired of the LS, and don't care for the size and V8 power of the LS, by all means get the ES.
Otherwise, another HELL NO for me also.![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I can NEVER justify spending $30(+) for a brand new fully loaded camry/accord/accord coupe/avalon/$30k+ ES....etc over an LS

the LS is a high end version for the lexus. why would you choose an ES? who cares if it's fully loaded... when people see an LS, they'll be thinkin you're ballin. however, with an ES even fully loaded, it's still just going to be an ES... it's about status. i would think of it as.. choosing between a fully loaded C-class and the cheapest version you can get for a S-class mercedes(althought C class is a far jump from the S class, haha). which one would you pick??? anways...
LS FTW!

LS. It's not even about status (I could care less about it). Fact is, the LS is a higher quality vehicle than the ES. The new ES is a downfall when it comes to build quality compared to its predecessors. The LS is the pinnacle of Lexus' legendary build quality. Plus I rather have a quiet 4.3L V8 over the 3.5 V6 DI (known to make a slight ticking noise at idle).

I'm 6'2" and getting into the smaller cars is not at all comfortable, especially for a passenger in the back seat and if your short buy it because IT IS THE BEST CAR UNDER 100K EVER PRODUCED! I hope I am always fortunate enough to drive an LS.

My reason for saying for you to buy the ES is I felt that you asked because you were serious about the ES 350. Most who buy the LS option for the GS or maybe even the LX truck but, not many for the ES350 unless there serious about possibly getting the ES350.
Im with my fellow members in terms of the LS being the flagship and all but, lets not forget the best selling car for Lexus is the ES model. I havent checked if this last year it was still the 1# seller for Lexus but, I know in years past it has been 1#.
That said, get what you really want and you'll have no regrets at all. If you really want the ES350, go for it. If you really want the LS430, go for it. Either car is a great choice. Doesnt matter what our opinions are at the end of the day but, I only suggested the ES350 because I felt you asking which one was telling you wanted the ES350.
Again, most dont pick between the LS and ES. They in my experience pick between the GS and LS and maybe the truck if there torn between a truck and a sedan if there looking at the LS. Anyway, buy what you like and I hope you decide to get what you really want.
(love god not money:just a saying not meant to offend)

I believe the RX is the best selling Lexus. I seem to see about 50 of them to every other Lexus out there. I see a lot of ESs, too as they're the most accessible (i.e. modestly priced).
Keep the LS. Is it an Ultra?

Forgot about all of us individuals who's interest is set on an LS....
I'm pretty sure you already know the answer to your question....listen to your gut and you'll end up happy. Thats really all thats important. There are a lot of people that purchase S Class's, LS's, Jags, etc. and then end up selling/trading them in. It is your self you need to make happy first.
