Default Projector light aiming on LS430

Can someone help out a little....

I have a 2005 LS430 and the passenger projector light is aimed upward causing the light to appear much brighter at night....

I'm getting flashed by oncoming traffic....

My old es had a nut you can turn to adjust the aiming..

anyone know how to on the LS430???

The service advisor at Sewell just called me back and said it was because the car was lowered....

well, no it wasnt, cause I noticed the projector aimed a tad higher before I lowered the car......and even so, when I raise the car back up by hitting the "high" button.....the headlight projectors dont move.

IF so, why isn't the driver side pointed up????
Are you tilted on the right side?
(Stupid dealer answer-I'll eat my word if that's the case though)

The LS430 got the same nut on the headlights to adjust the aim. It is located on the very outer edge behind the headlight.

Behind the headlight on the upper edge, very close to the fender, it is very far in, so stick your head in there and look. Grab a flashlight too, it is very hidden, it took me a while to find it, but it is there. I adjusted my headlights myself.

Bump for potential newbies

Was it just a matter of adjusting the nut?

Thank you BNR34
I thought the autolevel sensor can go haywire and cause one eye to point up.

Want to tell me the difference between D2R and D4R in the other thread?

nope, the autolevel and the manual adjustment work independently.

So... stupid question here...

What panels, if any, did you have to remove to get to this magical nut on the 2004 LS430? There is one small easily removable panel just above each headlight, but after I lifted that, I didn't see anything that was accessible to turn? Does all that plastic crap need to come out before I can access the adjustment nut on each side? If so, I'll just have the dealer do it.

I read there is a hole behind the headlight area - you insert a 10 mm socket .... no need to remove anything.
