Default Will my LS430 tell me when the brakes need replaced?

Sorry for the silly question; my wife just had the brakes done in her Camry, and I remember test driving an 01 LS430 that had a brake warning light on the dash. Will my 04 automatically tell me (notify) me when it's time for the brakes to be done?

Sorry I don't have my manual handy I'm at work..
Thanks,
Shawn

The search function has lots of info on brakes. The short answer is if the light comes on the sensors in the brakes will need to be replaced at about $70each. Have the dealer measure your pads next time you're in for service. They usually start trying to sell you a brake job, before it's actually needed. Lots more info if you use the search function.
