I knew I said that, and I was wondering if you are going to catch this

Well it depends I guess, depends on the look/ride you are going for. I said 19s was too small in your thread because I know you want the show/bling look.

19s is perfect for what mikemareen is going for.

Hell after much consideration on my own LS430, I have decided the stock 18s are the best for my needs. I don't want any of the hassle of bigger aftermarket wheels, and I love the stock look. I am just gonna get some spacers to push them out. I guess all of my previous modded cars make me really dislike aftermarket parts.

Haha, I should stop modding my cars too.
I think I would stick with 20' since I am putting a kit on.

no doubt 20" is definitely the proper size for the big body ls430.

but like BNR34 said, it all depends on what the goal is. It's hard to get the best of both worlds, there's a give and take to everything. 20" will force u to use a minimal 35 series tires, which in turn means less comfort, less cushion, less road absorption. Visually it is not so pleasing but makes a huge difference in driver feedback and comfort, at least for me.

you can still do it with 20", but u will get more noticeable road dis-comfort.

well you don't have to stop, like me, I just do it VERY conservatively from now on. Every car need a little something.

That is another factor, since you have a kit, you have to run 20s. 19s is fine without a kit. It all depends like I said.

one big factor for me with the 20s and 35 series is, the rims are much easier to get damage from the road, since my wife and parents drives my LS also, and they hit everything on the road!

yeah no kidding!

when my wife drive my LS, I pray to god the stock 18s are strong enough and the 45 series are big enough cushion!

Staggered setup is mandatory IMO. As are the slightly taller sidewalls to preserve what the LS does best...

taller sidewalls looks better in my opinion anyway, much more substantial feels.

rubber band sidawall can make it feel wimpy sometime.
