LS 430 Actuator Motor?
Hi Guys,
So my 2002 Ls430 actuator stopped working. Short story was some crack head in NJ broke into the car last year and only store manuals....the door lock actually worked for couple days but then the motor in the actuator died.
So over the weekend, I decided to go to the junk yard to see if I can get an actuator or just the motor. I DID NOT FIND one single ls430 there. I found a couple GS300/400 and decided to get one of the door latches off. The motor in this latch/actuator for that model car was the same size but the terminal where the wires connect and the shaft was totally different. I didn't mind since I can rewire the terminals. When I tried getting the shaft off I broke the little back end plastic piece that hold the end of the shaft. I glued it back together but I didn't want to take that chance. I also chiseled the shaft to match the same shape as the motor shaft I took out on my ls430.
Here are some pictures of my LS 430 actuator motor:

Last thing i want to do right now is to use the motor from the GS400 since I kind of broke the back end. I have looked online and searched the Lexus forums. It looks like the motor the ls430 uses is the:
Mabuchi motor: FC-280PC-22125

Does anyone know where I can just buy 1 or 2 of this motor?
Every where else seems to wants me to buy at least 10. I just need one motor.

I'm not sure about a source for small motors on a single scale, but in case you need to find the correct part try http://www.car-part.com/index.htm
that gives a search engine of salvage yards all over the USA and Canada.

They sell FC-280PC-22125, FC-280PT-22125, FC-280PT-20150, AND FC-280ST-18180... This is the first place that has all 4 of the models together in one place... All the shafts are round, so you'd have to file to get a D, but that's easy...
www.surplus-deal.com is the website... again, they advertise a $15 minimum, but I've made 3 orders from them and found out the real min. is $10.
