Default Replacing Amplifier

Hi folks,

Recently, the stereo on my 01 LS430 has no sound, both from the tuner and CD ...

I took it to the dealership and the initial diagnose is the amplifier is bad.

I was quoted ~$850 parts and labor ...

I'm wondering if this is something I can fix myself.

Has anyone here been through similar issue?

I was told the amplifier is in the trunk.

Anywhere I can buy the amplifier for a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance!!!

You can check for the amp on ebay. I had the same problem and took it to one of the amp shops around my hood and they fixed it for only $350. your amp is located in the trunk on the right upper corner you have to look all the way in there to see it.
