In 1990, back before the LS400 had a fully adjustable passenger seat (no lumbar or height adjustment), Superior Lexus in Kansas City obtained a fully adjustable RHD driver seat from a Lexus dealer in the U.K. and installed it in a customer's new LS400. I was shown the installation underway when I had my LS in for service. I don't know if they did this on just this one car nor do I remember if the passenger seat they installed was one with memory.
You guys are always looking for an unusual mod, aren't ya? I'll bet you can get a driver memory seat in the upholstery color you need and related parts for the memory control from a breaker in the U.K. or another RHD country like South Africa.

if I could add a mod it would be to have the massage on both front seats,, wife constantly reminds me about the lack of that feature,, why do I have to ride in the back to enjoy that,,???? I have to agree there have been times I woul dhave enjoyed the massage while driving,,
our Benz S500 had the memory on the passenger side front and the wife
er used,, she is always adjusting her seat,,
the grandkids love the back and all the toys to play with,

It seems odd that you are being critical of my answer. Mac was expressing disappointment that his 05 UL, which has everything else, doesn't have a memory passenger seat. Mac lives in Kansas like I do and is probably not all that far from Superior Lexus - a company that demonstrated in 1990 that it is willing to address issues like this.

At the current line up, every Lexus sedan has passenger memory seats except the LS430/460. I'm gonna guess they are aware and it was done for a particular reason. Guessing has to do with the comfort of the passenger in the rear.
By the way, a 98 GS400 does not have memory passenger seats, nor does any 98-05GS
