Default Check Engine Light & LexusLink Phone issues

1. My "Check Engine" light was turned on just about a week ago and I suspect it's due to my fuel cap not closed tight enough in the past. Without dis- and reconnecting the battery terminals to "reset" it, how long of driving should I expect to see it go away? Any similar experience please?

2. My UL has a LexusLink phone in the armrest and I hope to get rid of its base. Anyone knows how to do it?

Thanks fellow owners!

Found the problem. It's the bad oxygen sensor (out of five total).

Anyone can offer help on item 2 regarding phone removal?!
