just pull the door trim off that covers the sail panel to which the mirror is bolted. from there you'll see an electrical plug, and 3 nuts i think, 10mm in size. fish out the wire so you have some slack, disconnect the plug. then remove the nuts from the studs while holding hte mirror so it doesn't fall. there is a gasket in there i believe, so don't wreck that when removing the mirror assy.

You could always go to TIS and for $10 you have unlimited access for 24 hours to the all of the Toyota/Lexus Repair Manuals. This includes all of the electrical diagrams also.

1. Pull the plastic panels in the front corner of the window area, behind the mirror at the base.
2. remove 3 screws holding the mirror on each side.
3. carefully pull away the mirror and unclip the electrical socket.
mirror disassembly.
4. pry the mirror surface with a wide flat tool carefully. It is held by a plastic ball joint socket and two pins. The rest is self explanatory and you see the mirror mechanical components all screwed in there.
Reverse process for reassembly. Make sure you clean everything well so you don't create water leaks, as well as grease the mechanical parts if you took it apart.
