How do you remove the steering wheel on an 01?
#2
This is what I did:
Make sure your front wheels/steering wheel are facing straight ahead just to make reinstalling the steering wheel easier.
1. Disconnect + from battery
2. There are some tabs on each side of the steering wheel. Remove that unscrew the screws behind that-those are to hold the airbag.
3. Disconnect the harness
4. Unscrew the hex nut right in the middle of the steering wheel.
5. I didn't need a steering wheel puller that some said. Use a rubber mallet and gently tap on the back side of the steering wheel on each side a couple of times and it will loosen the steering.
Pretty straight forward
