It wouldn't be possible to break the amber part in the taillights. The plastic itself is amber, so if you did try to just break it off there would be a hole in the taillight. They do sell LED tails for the 01-03 430's which have clear plastic instead of amber, but you would need to get either yellow filament bulbs or yellow LED's for the blinker's, or you could be really cheap and sharpie your current bulbs yellow haha.

I have heard of at least one person prying the taillights apart and removing the amber reflector. As far as I could tell from his post, it is just an amber reflector glued or pieced on top of the clear lens.

That looks good, but as small as the amber is... I don't think it's worth pulling the light out (which is a PITA by the way) Baking them, then glueing them back together.

Maybe this summer if I get extremely bored I might do it. What did you use to glue it back?
