The right way, you can get a 9006 HID retrofit kit from Xenondepot. I'd go with 4300k kit to match your low beam. The cheap way, Sylvania Silverstar Ultra 9006.

sounds like he put in Silverstar

I put in 8000K for my fogs, now I have a set of 8000k for the headlights, just too lazy to put them in.

How does the 8000k look compare to the stock low beam?
Do you have any pic?
Thanks.

8000k would look really blue compared to the stock low beam HID (4300k).

I would suggest going with no more than a 5000k kit if you wanted to match your OEM low beams.

Yes, The 8000K is very blue/white, but I have D2R 8000K for my low bean too, just too lazy to install them. Once I put them in, the 4 lights would look the same.

I will see if I can get some pics tonight.

the way you type hurts my head! : )

Steve,

How much is the kit for the fog light conversion in 8000k plus replacment 8k bulbs for the lows? Is it plus and play or does the kit require any cutting of wires?

Hi,

bicory - I can definitely put together some pricing for you. Just to confirm, are you looking for 8000k D2R bulbs for the lows and a 9006 8000k kit for the fogs?

Stock would be 4300k =)

I would be more than happy to call you to discuss your options if you like. Just PM me with your phone number. Might be easier to do so over the phone as opposed to PM.

Just to be clear 2004-2006 stock LS430 (lowbeam) HID's is 4300K?

I notice when I turn on the lights the HID's are really blue before they reach their full brightness, is their pros and cons far as light ouput w/ different (K) bulbls?

Hi,

Yes OEM HID is D2S 4300k.

Going with a higher colour temperature will result in less actual light ouput however you will get more colour output.

If you are looking for a D2S bulb that will give you both great colour output and light output I would suggest looking at the Philips D2S 6000k Ultinon that we carry. Please view this link:

Yes I believe that is what I would want. Want to replace the fogs with and HID kit in the 8000k and replace the stock bulbs with the matching color.

Are there any numbers as far as how much light output you lose by upping the Kelv to 8000k from 4300k? Like do you lose 10% of the output? 20%?
