Im buying an 05 LS 430! WOOT!
My question is: Should I get modern luxury package and sport pacakge , or go for the Ultra Luxury Package. Sounds like you cant get the sport on the Ultra package. I plan on putting nicer wheels / tires on it, so not sure if one or the other is the best way to go.
Thanks!

Well... UL level adds:
1. Air suspension, so you don't get the "european tuned sport suspension" but as many have noted here, the sport suspension just makes the ride harsh and not much sporty, but most sport vehicles or performance vehicles (i.e. BMW) do have harsher rides.
2. Rear door sunshades. What can I say, your passengers will appreciate it, but won't do you much good. For my search, I like this because my kids are in the back and in my RX we have these window suction cup sunshades, so havin g built in ones whould be helpful, and cleaner look.
3. Rear inclining, masaging, memory, and cooled (heat you can get with CL trim) seats. Again, something the passengers in back will enjoy, not necessarily you.
4. Arm rest radio and rear air conditioner zone controls, along with air purifier. Again, good for your passengers, but if you have three passengers in back, all that is out the window if that armrest does not come down.
5. Cool box - not really a refrigeration box, but a box behind the armrest that pipes cool AC air into the box to "cool" the drinks to AC temp. With this, you actually lose the trunk passthrough if you ever takes this to a ski trip or have long objects that you might need to expand into the cabin. I believe you also lose a little trunk space.
Beyond this, I'm pretty sure you get the same leather treated center console, door trims, and glove box. You get the suade (or whatever Lexus calls it) interior in the CL trim also. So really, the UL is almost a trim for the executive who WILL NOT be doing the driving and will be sitting in the back.
For me, I have family reasons for not selecting the UL package, but we may still purchase it.

Can you get the Sport on the CL or only on the ML package?
Sounds like aside from the Air Suspension, all the other goodies are for back passenger comfort which isnt a big deal to me.
What is the difference between the CL and Ml packages?

1. DVD
2. ML radio
3. Intuitive parking
4. Rear seat heat
5. Front head and cold
Gone are the other goodies like, suede interior over head liner, head lamp washer, dynamic laser cruise, and power door closers. You also lose the leather on center console and the door "handles." Might have lost something else, but can't remember.

I believe the ML is only:
1. DVD
2. ML radio
3. Intuitive parking
4. Rear seat heat
5. Front head and cold
