Default I have a Question for those with Vaistech Ipod Interface

So I purchased my car about three weeks ago and the previous owner had installed a vaistech unit.

When I press the "CD" button it toggles between CD, "Vaistech Simple Ipod Interface, CD again, then "AUX input" (see picture below).

What is the AUX input for? This for hooking up like a dvd player or xbox or something?

Can I play movies from an Ipod on the DVD screen?

Hi

This will depend on which Vaistech Ipod Interface you have, either ask the previous owner or check out Vaistech website, they have all the manuals in PDF so you should be able to work out which one you have.

Good Luck

From the veitec website:
"
The SLi provides full functionality for your iPod including touch screen/steering wheel control, easy-to-read, expanded 26-character display and browsing by playlist. The SLi provides a second AUX connection, not controlled through your audio system, in case you also want to add satellite radio or another aftermarket audio accessory. With the SoundLinQ SLi, you can enjoy clear, genuine high quality sound through your factory audio system for most 2001 and newer Toyota and Lexus vehicles with and without a navigation system. No more cassette adaptors, FM transmitters, or cigarette lighter chargers.

hmmm...interesting.

The previous owner had Sat Radio installed, but i won't be using it. I wonder if their is a way to disable it so it skips that input.

Anyone have any idea on how to figure out which Vaistech unit I have?
