Default 3 TSB (service bullitens) I'd like to know more about....

Does anyone have access more information about these 3 paticular service bullitens? I found them on www.alldata.com but don't have full access.

TC006-04 DEC 04 Engine Controls - Poor Low Speed A/T Shifting
(I notice a decent jolt/downshift when i'm coming to a stop around 10mph-0mph)

ST004R-01 MAR 07 Steering - Vehicle Pulling, Manual Supplement
(car pulls to the right a bit. Haven't had an alignment done yet)

LSC4LG NOV 04 Campaign - Navigation System DVD Update
(Just out of curiousity)

ST004-01R is just a supplement to the Service Manual procedure for diagnosing and repairing situation where a vehicle pulls to either side, covering possible causes (alignment, camber, tires, etc.) and methods to determine which is the cause, and how to correct it. It doesn't address a specific Lexus problem or malfunction, just adds more troubleshooting info to that section of the service manual, and applies to ALL Lexus vehicles in general.

TC006-04 applies to ALL 2004 LS430s and then to 2005 LS430s with VINs AFTER JTHBN36F*5005700. It "enhances" low speed shifting (notice they don't say "corrects") with a ECM/PCM calibration update (different firmware). If the TSB update was performed, a label should be affixed on the underside of the hood reading "TSIB TC006-04", and noting the new firmware part # installed.

As for the nav DVD TSB, well I can't find any mention of that.

Regarding TSB TC006-04, for 2005 LS430s, is it with the VINs BEFORE or AFTER JTHBN36F*5005700? Can someone please confirm? Thanks.

NOTE: Additional Diagnostic Tester Kits, CAN Interface Modules, Program Cards or other SSTs may be ordered by calling SPX/OTC.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Check for the Authorized Modification Label affixed to the vehicle in the location shown in Fig. 2 . Confirm that the ECM (PCM) calibration has been updated. If not the latest ECM (PCM) calibration - go to step 2.

Fig. 2: Authorized Modifications Label

2. Connect the Diagnostic Tester to the vehicle and select "CURRENT ECU CAL" from the "ECU REPROGRAM MAIN MENU." Determine the vehicle's current ECU calibration (see Fig. 3 ).
• The sample screen prints seen below are the 12.01a software version, and may differ from subsequent software versions.

NOTE: • If Calibration ID matches "Previous Calibration ID" as shown in "Calibration Identification Chart" above, proceed with flash reprogramming.
• If Calibration ID matches "New Calibration ID" as shown in "Calibration Identification Chart", this vehicle has already been reprogrammed.
3. If ECU calibration ID is not the same as the "New Calibration ID" listed previously, proceed to Flash Reprogram ECM (PCM).
FLASH REPROGRAM ECM
CAUTION: When reprogramming the LS 430, 12.01a production version or later MUST be used. Using any previous versions of software for reprogramming may result in IRREPARABLE DAMAGE to the ECU!
NOTE: • If the "Check Engine" light is ON when ignition is turned back on to begin the reprogramming process, a scan tool cable problem exists. Refer to TSIB No. SS003-01 , "ECU Flash Reprogramming Error Message ."
• When reprogramming the LS 430 for this issue, calibration files for 2004 and 2005 model year cannot exist on the same Diagnostic Tester Program Card.
If necessary, delete previous calibrations from the Diagnostic Tester Program Card before downloading the new calibration file.
• With this calibration update, 2004 model year vehicles are updated to 2005 model year logic. When diagnosing powertrain-related M.I.L. "ON" or performance issues, refer to the 2005 LS 430 Repair Manual for both 2004 and 2005 model year vehicles.
• 2004 model year vehicles require VIN registration following reprogramming to prevent M.I.L. "ON" (P0630).
1. Disconnect the radiator fan connectors, and connect a battery charger to the vehicle's battery. This will avoid voltage variations that can permanently damage the ECM (PCM) during the reprogramming process.
2. Follow the procedures outlined in TSIB No. SS001-01 , "ECU Flash Reprogramming Process ," and flash the ECM (PCM) with new calibration file update.
3. Reconnect the radiator fan connectors, and disconnect the battery charger.
4. Enter the required information on the Authorized Modifications label and affix it to the vehicle at the location shown in Fig. 2 . The Authorized Modifications label is available through the MDC, P/N 00451-00001-LBL.
5. Enter VIN of vehicle in ECM memory. Refer to procedures outlined in TSIB No. EG012-04 , "Entering VIN During ECM (PCM) Replacement and/or DTC P0630 ."
6. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperatures before test-driving.
7. Perform a thorough test drive with several accelerations from a stop with "light throttle" application until proper transmission shifting is verified.

I don't quite follow. I'm looking at an 05 with a vin JTHBN36F355006102 Mfd 11/04. I think it's after the *5005700...but the VIN JTHBN36F*5005700 is one digit less than what I have.

I thought that at first too - but I just counted 7 digits back - the other numbers single or double digit before that probably counts for a certain batch
number or something. I will see this afternoon at the Lexus dealer anyways.

5006102 > 5005700. It's AFTER. So JTHBN36F355006102 is not included in that TSB...
