I'm pretty sure the adaptive projector lights did not come into play until 2004-2006. I've seen plenty of older LS430 with the reflectors. You must just be lucky to see more recent LS430s.

Like AlexusAnja said, the 01-03 models have the normal reflectors, while 04-06 have projectors. They also have stock LED tails, compared to the normal tails in the older models.

Looks diff.....I would have painted the little corner piece blk where the orange reflector is too.....now all you need is that Data Controller like everyone else quotes!

In hindsight, it would have looked better if I painted the corner, but the corner wasn't part of the housing that you could just pull out of the headlight, and I think that if I did paint the corner, it would make the corner lights less reflective

Thanks GS3Tek, I'm glad you like the headlights. Also, thanks for the heads up on the datasystem controller, unfortunately his harness is for 04-06.
