Alarm tone sounds when trunk shut on ls430?
I have an '04 LS430, and just this morning, everytime I close the trunk after opening it to put in my golf clubs, whatever, an alarm tone sounds for about 10 to 15 seconds. I have no clue why, the trunk appears to be closing properly, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Does it tell you trunk open in the dash while driving by any chance? Does your trunk have the power closure feature?
i remember a clever thing less did on the LS is when the drunk isnt fully closed and you try to lock your doors with the remote for the first time, the lights will NOT flash, to alert you of the trunk.

You are absolutely correct! I never even thought about this, but I am in the course of moving and had my "valuables" case in my trunk, which included my extra LS430 keys. Now that I'm in the new house, no more tone, no more problem. Thanks!!!
