Stereo problem


I have a 2004 GS430 , For awhile now, everytime I start the car, the stereo may or may not come on . The stereo is obviously on and playing but nothing is coming through the speakers. The speakers are working because the navigational system gives me directions with no problem. NOW, the stereo will not go throught the speakers at all these days. The stereo is stock with the navigational system integrated with it. Also has an after market Ipod module (maybe the problem?). The Ipod and everything worked fine for a few years till now. I was wondering if there was something I can simply do (like wiggle this, or wiggle that-lol) before I send it to the dealer. Her name is Lucy by the way. She's a great car, but she's not cooperating right now. She should know how important it is for me to have my tunes !
Any advice?

 

I had the same exact problem as you. speakers only working when using navigation. It turned out to be my amp. You can bring it to a local amp shop to get it fixed cost me about 250 bucks
